This exhibition was an absolute honour to attend and to review. I attended a talk by the Tate director Frances Morris, and was lucky enough to be given a guided tour by the curators who made this landmark exhibition happen. The art world still has so far to go in terms of giving equal representation to African-American artists, as well as other artists of colour being afforded equal prominence as their white male counterparts. It was a thoughtful and emotional exhibition and I count myself very lucky to have seen it. I can't believe this is the first exhibition of its kind in the UK, let's hope it sparks the trend for many more
