So this review for The Upcoming actually transpired to be my favourite film of the year. This really surprised me – sentimentalised tragic biopics are NOT my thing – but The Glass Castle was just mesmerising. Think of it as a far more bleak Captain Fantastic, with Woody Harrelson driving the action as the destructive alcoholic Rex Wallis. This film absolutely captivated me, and I haven't stopped thinking about it since watching it all the way back in October.
